DESCRIPTION:Immerse in the local culture of the people of the Ecuadori
 an Andes with an award-winning photographer and a renowned anthropolog
 ist, and join other like-minded photographers, videographers and write
 rs to document their traditional lifestyles on an 8-day workshop and s
 alon in Ecuador.\n\nThrough a mixture of exclusive private portrait se
 ssions and public settings such as the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun
 ), you will have the ability to document the culture of the Andean peo
 ple as well as get unique insight into the local history, customs and 
 traditions through a local anthropologist, Trinidad Ordóñez, who wil
 l be accompanying us throughout the entire length of the trip.\n\nThe 
 aim is to encourage cultural exchange and cross-pollination of artisti
 c ideas throughout the course of the workshop and create a body of wor
 k on the subject after the culmination of the trip.\n\nThis is not a t
 raditional instructional workshop, but an opportunity to document and 
 understand the lives of the local community up close and personal thro
 ugh our network of contacts in the indigenous communities of the Ecuad
 orian Andes as they get ready to celebrate Inti Raymi.\n\nTotal cost: 
 $2,100 per person includes all meals, local transportation as well as

 n\n\nAbout us:\nTrinidad Ordóñez is an anthropologist in Quito, Ecua
 dor and has worked with numerous production companies and NGOs. Her cl
 ients have included John Gau (production company for National Geograph
 ic), Cotopaxi Voyager, Sunny Side Up Productions, Drew Fairchild (New 
 York), Hiroshi Watanabe as well as the Ministry of Environment in Ecua
 dor, European Union social development programs and Allianza Suiza’s
  social responsibility projects.\n\nAshok Sinha is a culture and lifes
 tyle photographer based in New York and has been shooting around the w
 orld for the past ten years. His work has appeared in Budget Travel Ma
