Weekend Chant Camp with Susan Hellauer of Anonymous 4
The Sound-World of Hildegard von Bingen
presented by ChantVillage.com and Wisdom House

Learn & sing the ecstatic chants of the legendary 12th-century German abbess, AND learn & sing the music that she herself knew -- the music that was the sonic foundation of her own compositions. Participants will learn how to approach Hildegard's unique style in order to create a shapely, word-directed musical line.

We'll reconstruct a musical "day" at Hildegard's abbey, culminating in a performance on Saturday night. In Sunday morning's sessions we'll learn to sing Hildegard's music from original notation.
