Are disabled artists part of the "Artistic Culture? Does disability enhance/ influence art?

I believe that disabled/differently abled people are a viable and contributing cultural group and very much a part of our culture as a whole.   Do youi agree?  How do you feel your disability has influenced\enhaneced your art?  Do you feel it gives you a different perspective?
