Thank you very much for your kind message. The violence mostly happen in some part of Bangkok and I lives 340 KM far north from Bangkok (Phitsanulok), So for me is OK. I called and check my friends in Bangkok already and they all are OK. The only thing is we could not do much activity we planed before anything have to be freeze in a while till everything is back to normal. Thank you very much again for your care.

Noraset, I live in the U.S. and we have seen a lot of coverage in the previous few weeks about the conflict. Can you explain what happened? Maybe what some of the issues are that led to the showdown in Bangkok last week? Thanks, John

Incident in Thailand for artists, I’m sure it affected the mind more than what all because our sensitivity and never fall in conditions that people hate each other this size. Especially, when the media and group conflict use method drama to stimulate the people hate and separated. My friends many of who are academics drama I see them emotional drain out heatedly with unexpected words. But there are some questions that education and learning the art of past cause we do not understand Thai society and democracy, or blank. In the incidence that occurred, I think for artists it is positive that everyone will turn to making art to social and political talks. In addition to talking about what self-interest alone in my own personal that is affected less. We are trying to live suffice; we had thought to rely on government scholarship. Through this incidence we are confident that. We rely on government more difficult.
We are trying to create self-reliance such we're making puppet show by low cost using our own funds. Show at small home not very large this would be one solution. For artist friends that isn’t planned to spare about profession, many people suffer a lot. Because the government stopped working, private sector is not organized there is no employment. Some people despair and thinking will stop art work. We try to help them such as, open space for teaching for they came to teach but person is not ready to pay out at this time, will request funds from abroad many agencies that provide this capital fall into conditions that are worse. We’re really wanted to contribute to the funding but I have to evaluate ourselves, thus help in the form of a place and the idea of regeneration or attempt help beneficent imaginable.

Prejudice against people from N E Thailand (Isarn), who formed the major part of the red group protesting in Thailand is reinforced and even spread further...
Womanifesto started a residency program which takes place on a farm near the town of Kantharalak, N E Thailand. This is community-based residency. We plan on continuing and hope to invite 2 artists to live and work there at the end of the year. Given the current situation, it is even more important to engage creatively to strengthen ties and establish an exchange between artists and the community in this part of Isarn.
Doubt if funding for this from the Ministry of Culture will be forthcoming. As recently announced, some amount of funding is going into a project that will take place in Bangkok, around the central part where the protests took place.
The "center" continues to grab attention but we really need to understand what is going on in people's lives in rural areas!

The marginalized people and grass roots of people have been suffering multi-layers of conflicts under complexities in a borderless world in the northeastern of Thailand. Their problems are complex, making it uneasy to be realized by those in other social classes in society. This, therefore, is the beginning of the production of experience in both positive and negative ways in many different dimensions, stemming from causes, be they the definition of life, explanation of their decision, insecure living and hard-to-understand meaning leading to a set of conflicts among those in the margin and other different social members. The marginalized were given a few spaces to have their voice heard systematically to mutually live and to be accepted as part of society.
That is how a group of those who have different perspectives were formed to work independently towards spreading the understanding of the mentioned issue to a wider public in terms of human security beyond borders and of the country’s loss of opportunities because of conflicts in every level caused by different groups spreading hatred nationwide.
As marginalized people have increasingly suffered from conflicts in every level under a globalized world, the complexities in making sense of what really happens by those in other social classes should also be emphasized.
The difference in belief and ideology upheld by individuals probably makes those in the same family, workplace, country, regardless of bordering lines, see one another with discrimination, hatred, misunderstanding, and disregard of their culture. Even worse, they might see one another as enemies. Ultra-nationalism intends to eliminate others, cherishes ethno-centrism and leads to war in every level.
It‘s hard to balance “human secrerity” with “world of paradox.” Nowday the world is fully complex society, which is hard to understanding and to guessing. So, we have many goals of culture and art to bring peace to the world community, and integrate that goal with local wisdom and the new generation to work proactively for present and future human security. It is because of these chareacteistices and interests that I am motivated to earn Culture and Development in peace audit by cyber peace to social media in March 2010-present with page of เครือข่ายสันติวิธี (nonviolence network) and website and social media to learning the conflicts to building understanding of social justice and peace by nonviolent communication to Thai society.
If the situations were left unsolved, the feelings of those who are involved would finally developed into violence towards dissidents to alleviate and ultimately stop the trends to help Thailand away from widespread violence.
