How do you handle rejection?

I just heard today that I was rejected by an art show and I feel pretty low about it! It's hard not to feel it's not a personal rejection of me! I know I can't be the only one this happens and I want to hear how others cope with it.
Should I try again - or quit while I'm ahead?!!

I expect rejection. Art is big business in many ways. What is defined as "art" depends on the times and the most vociferous voices. What is created by the individual artists doesn't always correspond. SO.......I expect rejection. Also, artists continue to mature..one has to continue to improve...not all of ones art is good. Feedback is good.

Very sadly. I was just said no to a public art project. Wanted it so bady and did get it. I am starting to get use to it. Keep trying tough it is hard.
