Few people know that Greece for the Greek is Hellada. Strange to consider that both words refer to the same country but same goes with language and how many names we can name all sorts of things, same with culture and perceptions, same with art.

From September 11 to October 8, 2010, me and my husband Francesco Conte, an Italian journalist and art/culture-events organizer, will be in Greece to try and create a video-documentary of what Greece is to those who care to tell their story of it. We're inviting Greeks, artists, travelers, ex-patriates, etc. Anyone with a passion and interest in Greece and collaborations.

Thanks for posting the picks Fran. I've pasted them below so others can see without opening the attachments.....So what's been the best part about Project Greece so far?

Hi John, thanks for posting.
The best part so far:
Meeting amazing people and swimming above an ancient archeological ruin!
The food is great too but my gaining some weight is making me reconsider.. haha
Tzatsiki is like the ultimate side dish, it goes well with everything. and the Giros is top level, beats kebab/shawarma at this point. We met an organic farmer who travelled around the world by bike! crossing Iran and Pakistan all the way through Australia and everywhere else.

The last picture Fra posted is just one of many many altars you can see on the side of the road. They are put up for people who either died or survived from road accidents. We saw many of these, sometimes huddled together and its a great way to consider one's mortality before making a mess on the road.
