Yeah, you got it!
Lovely self-portrait!

I don't know how some of you do daily portrait projects. I have a lot of respect there because it's something I just couldn't do. Almost anytime I do a self-portrait it comes from extreme emotional anguish and it always leaves me exhausted. This one was done after a major career setback, and my "Someday" portrait was during a period of disillusionment about my future. I could maybe do one a week, and that's a stretch. Very cool.

Like this alot - is it a print?
Here's mine...

Ryan S Ballard: Self Portrait with Dual Aspects of Apollo and Dionysus, 20" x 30", Mixed Media on Wood 2009

I feel like my personality is balanced between the opposing aspects of Apollo and Dionysus (Logic vs Revelry). This piece reflects that idea and a host of others.

Ryan, did you see that Alexander below also has Dyonisus in his??
This is an early version of a self portrait, meant first as a curative self kick in the ass...the quote translated into English says :"If there is a sin against life, it consists perhaps not so much in disparaging of life as in hoping for another life and eluding the implacable grandeur of this life" It is by my favorite author Albert Camus.

Marceau's image:

The best way I know how to capture myself. I like to think that the couple blurred words I can't figure out are somewhat representative of all the unknown things my future holds. This, of course, is completely ignoring the fact that I didn't even realize the words were there until I was editing the picture! :)
