Hello friends! I'm going to start sending some survey questions and emails to artists who have engaged in peace and conflict related activities over the next few days to map out what's already being done in this emerging field using an appreciative inquiry process.
The outcomes will be included in a presentation and will be the basis for an interactive artmaking activity I'm setting up for an Asia-Europe Foundation conference to be held at the Ateneo de Manila University on August 1. In the long term to be part of an online directory that maps out the work of peace artists in the two regions.
I would like to invite the following to share experiences and learnings (with acknowledgement and feature of yours or your organization's work)" (particularly those from Europe and Asia)
a) artists/cultural workers/creative process facilitators using any form of art that engages people in relation to conflict transformation
b) a peace worker who has engaged artistic/creative process in programs/projects.
If you know of someone whose work is relevant to this, please pass this message on :-)
Thank you.
