Summer 2011 Creative Walks
FAQ
How do I participate in one of the walks?
Click here for "A Walking Meditation in Times Square"
with Josefina Baez.
Click here for "Elevated Soundscapes" with Leese
Walker.
Click here for "A Conversation with Nature" with
Kaoru Watanabe.
We use a secure and simple payment system courtesy of Brown Paper Tickets. Once you have submitted payment for your tickets, you will receive an email receipt of your payment. We will then send you another email with all details about the walk, including more details on the meeting place and contact information for your walk leader. You may also pay cash at the walk itself, though it is highly recommended that you purchase a ticket online ahead of time.
How do I know where to meet the walk
leader?
Once you have purchased your tickets, we will
email you detailed instructions, including where exactly to meet
the walk leader, and the walk leader's contact
information.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothes, including comfortable shoes. Check
the description of each walk for specific
details.
Are the walks physically challenging?
The walks require a desire and ability to engage fully in a
somewhat physical, emotional and spiritual exercise. As the
aim of the walks is to help re-discover the self, it's up to you
the extent to which you want to push yourself. We all express
ourselves differently so we will never push you to do anything you
are not comfortable with. As these walks take place in the summer,
it will be hot, so bring water and a hat.
What happens if it rains?
Walks typically take place rain or shine. In the case of rain, we
may change the location of the walk. We will contact you the
morning of the walk (or the evening before in the case of a morning
walk) by email or telephone to update you on details. We may need
to cancel the walk if the weather is extreme, in which case you
will receive a full refund.
What is your refund policy?
In the event that we have to cancel a walk, we will issue you a
full refund. If you decide you cannot participate in a walk for
which you've purchased a ticket, we will refund you 50% up to one
week before the walk.
How did you come up with these walks?
Each walk is curated collaboratively between Create Culture and the
walk leader. We try to think creatively about walks that fulfill
Create Culture's goals and the walk leader's interests and
expertize. We try to create walks that are at once playful and
spiritual.
