Recovering memories (slides I haven't seen in so many years)

Recovering memories (slides I haven't seen in so many years)

45 years ago... I took a scholarship in Cairo, Egypt, in a glass factory... spent 3 months in Cairo with some visits to Luxor, Aswan, the Red Sea and the Suez Canal. Left Egypt crossing the Nile delta to Alexandria, and then crossing the border with Libya driving my super Vespa going endlessly to the west, looking for the old continent...

I thought I had lost all these images... but my lovely better half, carefully brought them from Brazil and kept them safe... I was able to scan some thanks to Ed's help... I'll scan some more sometime in the future.

these images are mostly around Luxor (I biked to the Valley of the Kings) and Aswan, but some from Cairo...
the sailing boat I took was in the Nile river, going to some little island with ruins, in Aswan.
there is one with my Vespa at the Suez Canal
another one with the Vespa at a monument of the World War II... its in Egypt territory close to the Libyan border.
another one with a VW and two German guys I met also crossing north Africa, and the Vespa... we are in Libya, close to Benghazi in this stop.
there is a mummy from the Egyptian Museum, no clues who she/he was... I thought it was Nefertiti, but she looks different on the web :-(
