Belfast 6

Christmas snows against 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' light...I just like it. I love nature excercising little shoves to our being complacent. I'd gone in to work with dry streets outside, and came out to this....

Albums: Belfast.

\it all makes sense! I know that silence. I remember being on a lake over here, one christmas, and that amazing sound of ice breaking and echoing all over,,,beautiful and eerie. and freezing. isn't it mt fujiama that's always snow covered? I remember the brilliant Hukasi (spelling awful) image.

I lived seven years in Japan where we had to shovel the snow least three times a day in winter. Mind you, still White Christmas was rare because usually snow didn't starts till January & February. Do you remember the silence snow creates by absorbing sounds? The dazzling whiteness? The frozen water pipes? Every time black out occurred, I had to rush in snow with my gumboots on, to get to studio and back up our furnace manually, that was fun.
Now I live in Sydney. We have no snow, not even frost. If you go further west Blue mountain area, you can get blizzard sometime. But that will be in July, August. Our Santa comes with sun-tan, swimshorts and surfboard... too weird for me. I guess in South of Victoria or Tasmania, they might get heavy snow cos they are much closer to Antarctic.

I miss it too! We don't get many days like this...snow is a luxury here, if you know what I mean. When I was a child, we had many heavy snowfalls, where, cars couldn't move and electricity went down, and the inconvenience made life special? I didn't realize how much I liked, 'not' being able to do things. Anyway, it's the romantic, I suppose. Ha. Glad you like it Miki. Where are you, that it doesn't snow? Are you in Oz? Did I see that, or am I mentally deficient?
