St Regis Rockface #2

#2 from a series of rockfaces shot in Western Montana in 2007. I control and create every aspect of all my pieces from capture through development to printing, matting and framing. This particular piece is a 14 X 20 gallery wrap canvas printed with my Epson 3800 on Hahnemuehle Daguerre Matt Canvas mounted in a 16 X 22 "Float" frame. I created the design for the float frame in 2009 and built the jigs to produce them this year. built from solid Hickory stock I've built 6 of them so far and have been experimenting with several different stains, sealed with a wipe-on poly, and also several enamel paints, which I do in multiple coats, rubbing them out and finishing with a clear gloss. I'm thinking of marketing them to local framers as a high-end custom alternative.

Oh I love this Jeff, and the way you control all aspects of your Art,yes,I think you would do very well, selling these! Think Hobby Lobby? Michaels,or maybe, you already have?
Solid wood, cool, and the photography, very awesome, looks like a painting! I love digital cameras, but am just starting out with them myself. They really are neat though, and I'm seeing all the things you create with photography.
