Study VI / Casa Irina Series

As a counterpoint, Studies VI and VII retake natural landscape which examines different densities particular of marine ambiance. Tusche washes articulate organic elements which nourish from an aquatic environment. The background rock formations in the upper section, serpentine's amongst the mist which appears and disappears at the rhythm of crepuscular light. Although certain levels of abstraction calls one's attention, the intentionality of descriptiveness privileges the gesture as a form of abbreviating a world of sensations. Transitions between what exists and doesn't exist, between what appears and disappears begins to insinuate a form of transcendence. Similar how the mechanism of memory operates, an opening and closing of situations revealing a silhouette taking form, shape and depth. Such construction is an inductive process which respond to all senses where sound has an intensity, intensity has a hue, hue has a temperature, so on and so forth.
