Threading the Needle

One in a series of monotypes printed on a press in San Francisco and then hand colored over a period of years! They involve sewing, one of my first and abiding loves. This one is 30 x 22" and contains the actual dress pattern I inked. the process in printmaking is called "chine colle."
Monotypes are actually paintings that were made on a plate and then put through a press. As with all my art, they're one of a kind!
