About Me And My Work

Adam Gertsacov is the most educated clown in America (barring certain elected officials.) He wears many hats, including those of a professional clown, an author and publisher, a P.T. Barnum impersonator, a flea circus impresario, a Henry Hudsonand the esteemed hat of the Clown Laureate of Greenbelt, Maryland. Adam is the Festival Director for Bright Night Providence, and currently lives in Yonkers, NY.

Art Forms And Cultures I Would Like To Engage With

In my dream world, I spend 3 months of the year performing and directing Shakespeare and classic plays. I spend 3 months of the year working in the circus as a clown and performer, and I spend 3 months of the year creating and performing my own shows, and the last 3 months of the year I spend on vacation. (Hey, a fellow can dream can't he?) I've gotten perilously close to this several years, although not close enough!
