About Me And My Work

I'm a professional artist specializing in seascapes and maritime paintings. I also teach artist workshops in painting and art business and marketing, and I'm a contributing editor/writer for Professional Artist magazine (Art Calendar Magazine), the premier business magazine for professional visual artists. Author of The Artists Guide to Business & Marketing, and producer and host of DVD and TV show Painting Seascapes in Watercolor.

My Creative Influences & Favorite Artists

My paintings are influenced by my travels. I've lived on the Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf coasts of the US, and on Guam, and traveled extensively through Asia, the Pacific islands, and the Caribbean. A lifetime of caostal living does more than influence my art; it influences my life. I prefer tropical locations, and my current series of paintings depicts scences from my favorite caribbean islands.
