- I am a practising artist based in Pretoria. My works are in abstract multi-media painting, drawing and figurative sculpture.
I started showing in early 2000 after graduating from the University of the Witwatersrand and have since exhibited in the USA, Ireland, South Africa and have representation in several other countries.
My work explores and is representative of those things in life that bring joy and wonder and seeks to instill a sense of hope and play.
- Places I Would Like To Visit
- Walking around a bend in the old Jewish quarter of Prague I almost fainted from lack of sustenance. There was a huge home in front of me with an enormous curved yellow wall. It has stayed with me ever since. The photograph hasn't.

Exhibition at FLaT 4 Studio, February 2010
Pretoria, South Africa
This is an OPEN INVITATION to all artists and poets to take part in FLaT 4 Studio’s February exhibition.
February’s main event is Valentine’s day. People come together in the name of ‘LOVE’. However, we find ourselves in the midst of a Hallmark holiday when it becomes a forced ritual of declarations of love and forking out the cash just to say something as natural as ‘I feel for you’.
This exhibition deals with money, romance (‘love’) and the bastardization of our integrity as people.

-Each work will be presented with the artists’ contact details and once the work is purchased the buyer can make contact with the artist (the artist will also be provided with the buyers details) and in so doing open the channels of personalised communication-

Brief
Create a heart; be it in painting, sculpture, illustration, drawing, landscape art, installation, poetry and so on.
1) EMAIL entries:
• Send us a photograph of the work.
•FLaT 4 will print out each photo which will then be used as part of the exhibition.
•Send us good quality (resolution) photographs that can be printed to A4 size.
•Provide us with all your details (ie. Name, country, physical and/or email address)
These works will be donated to the gallery by the artist. FLaT 4’s usual commission (35%) of all works sold will be then donated to an organization like the Heart Foundation. We want to sell the images for approximately R50 (about $7) each.
2) PHYSICAL entries:
•If the artist is able to get the physical work to us by the deadline it will go on exhibition.
•These works will be priced at the artists’ asking price with the galleries added 35% commission.

2) Deadline for entries is Sunday 7 February 2010
3) The exhibition opens on Sunday 14 February 2010 and closes on Friday 5 March 2010
