Places I Would Like To Visit: As a child I studied the piano, and I loved Chopin. As a young adult, in the early 1980s I studied the Veena in the U.S.A. and in Varanasi/Banaras. (Of course, it would have been more appropriate to be in South India, but I had signed up for a College Year Abroad program in Banaras). Then did some guitar in the mid-1980s - I carried a guitar to Zimbabwe in 1988 - when things were pretty good there. I never got anywhere close to professional on any of these instruments, though. Lately I've been focusing on singing U.S., English, and (English language) Irish folk songs informally with a few different groups. I do find travel to be more difficult these days.
