Artistic experiences I have had on my travels / Where I would like to travel to experience new arts and cultures
Been on tour with international artists across the US, spent weeks with musicians in Bali learning Gamelan, visited the Smithsonian Folklife festival every year growing up, spent time in Morocco with Sufi musicians, been to slack-guitar festivals in Hawaii, and lots lots more. SO much more to discover. We are always looking at the amazing profiles of Create Culture members and getting inspired for our next trip.s
My dream collaboration
Bringing all Create Culture members together for a 3-month traveling caravan jam

I found this old interview I did last year with Culturalist@ Vivian Fung and re-reading I remembered our time in Bali together. I found what she says so interesting that I thought it would be worth highlighting again. Enjoy!… Continue

Do you use a moleskine or an idea book to record moments of inspiration or your art when on the road or at home. I do. My thoughts are often captured in late night chicken scratch and the following pattern tends to repeats itself. Bedtime, lights off, head down.....head up, lights on, idea jotted dow… Continue
The MIM. That's what they call it. I met a rep from the Musical Instrument Museum at the APAP conference in January who announced that with the final stages of construction almost complete, the exhibits were now being prepared for a launch end of April for a museum in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, that would house instruments from eve
Thanks for featuring me. I do have a question. When I'm ready to post information and images of my book project, should I "Add a Blog Post" or put this info somewhere else?
The publication of the book had to be pushed back. Now it looks like it will be done in Spring. I'll post some work in progress images after the holidays.
It's such early days, I can't really talk too much about them. When they progress, I'll keep you posted. The film world is notoriously difficult to be certain of anything, and it can take any length of time to get movies going, but there is a great possibility of one of my two, being in production by Sept 2010....but there's also a possibility that it wont! I've just been through my first development meeting, and have a ton of work to do on the script...then...by the end of January, it goes into the 2nd stage. At the moment, it's all good.
Muchas gracias, pero realmente no comprendo eso del Sueño de Colaboración. Yo supongo que es una expresión idiomática inglesa. En Castellano, no tiene significado.
Thank you but I suppose it is an idiomatic English expression. In Spanish it doesn't mean anything.
You answer if I want to colaborate with a famous artist???
Thank you for your interest! Ravenna is called "the capital of mosaics". There are many examples of mosaic art there in churches and on the floors of buildings. There is also a school which I will attend when my ship comes in. Right now I don't even have a ship.
