Want to start a fire? My advice is to start small.

It's easy to be daunted by the scale of social change required and to forget that a forest fire is often started with a single spark. All that are required are the right conditions. Indeed getting the initial conditions right is essential for any enterprise. When I was 17 I worked with a team of tree surgeons. In those days, before these big chipping machines came into use we either took the wood we cut back with us or burnt it on site - that was often my task. Sometimes, particularly when whole…See More

What are your goals for 2013?

Creative development is a journey of incremental steps and it is inevitable that they’ll be setbacks on the way. (One step forward and two back is a natural, but not inevitable, state of affairs). However, I recommend you avoid the temptation to start again.  It’s…See More

In addition to using the process myself I am also supporting: an organisation, a team of arts practitioners and a leadership network.  What's more it's an open process so I'd be happy to see more people get…See More
