I have been a painter for 30 plus years and have exhibited my work in various venues in the US and Canada. Most of my artistic career was spent in the Seattle area, where I also served as state artist-in residence for two years. After a painting Fellowship at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos, I moved to the mountains of Northern New Mexico. With the help of the high mountain sun, I also offer workshops in solar etching, where participants spend the night in my century old adobe home in the old plaza area of Chamisal, on the High Road to Taos.
Places I Would Like To Visit
Since I moved to New Mexico, this is the place I seem to always want to be. The native ceremonials make up the bulk of my travel-log.
My Creative Influences & Favorite Artists
I traveled to the Andean Highlands of Peru in the 1980's, and the ancient cultural ruins of the American SW in the 1970's. These two journeys have influenced my artistic expression from that time forward. I am deeply interested in the cycles of the natural world and am presently working on a series of paintings called "Mandalas of the Natural Order".
