About Me And My Work

I have always been semi-professionally, or academically involved in the visual and performing arts since I was a child. I am currently very passionate about classical works (like opera, Shakespeare and Greek theatre) and reinventing them in new and relevant ways through community involvement and group creation.

Artistic Experiences I Have Had On My Travels

I recently completed a photographic tour of the old and new south (Virginia to Georgia and back again) with a very dear friend of mine. I would love to have spent more time on it, but had a lovely whirlwind of experience!

Places I Would Like To Visit

I'd love to either visit Western Europe or Southeast Asia, but I haven't been many places inside or outside of the states, so I'm pretty adventurous for new experiences.

Art Forms And Cultures I Would Like To Engage With

Any! I'm open-minded and love learning about new art forms and cultures. I'll consider everything from moving within time between the decades, locations or subcultures.

My Creative Influences & Favorite Artists

Anne Bogart, Ping Chong, Julie Taymor, Michael Rohd, Anna Deveare-Smith, Tony Kushner, Sarah Ruhl, Tennesee Williams, Gilbert and Sullivan, the 1880's to the 1980's, rock n' roll, steampunk, punk rock, goths, ravers, and any outsiders and misfits who are brave enough to be who they are in the face of adversity.
