I am coming to Taipei on the 2nd of august as part of the International summer jam supported by the National Taiwan University of the Arts. I will be doing a performance/video piece while I am there, but no idea what the time table will be like. Though I am currently doing a piece called barefooting! which a symbolic gesture of letting go of the past. I ask people to wear a pair of shoes that they dont mind letting go off and then remove them and make their way back home in bare feet, leaving the shoes behind to take on their on journey. In doing this you will also be facing the present, walking into the now and embracing what the future may bring regardless what fears or obstacle that you may face. I will photograph you roving and then leaving your shoes behind and ask people to e-mail me their experience. If you are interested then please let me know.
