We are based in Ghana,West Africa where creative people from all parts of the world come to work with the Ghanaian children and adult artists.
People coming to Ghana can take an indigenous pottery workshop with traditional African potters or they can learn African textile techniques.
Some come to volunteer and teach their skills like papermaking and bookbinding or whatever their skills are.
The whole point is to put creative people together and see what happens.

I don't understand your question, but I will answer it as well as I can. Folk art--I have been crocheting and knitting since I was 7 yrs old. I started weaving about 10 years ago. Last year, I received a grant to study in Oaxaca, Mexico, specifically to study Spanish and back-strap weaving. I honor the wisdom that my grandmother (and all the women) who've shared their knowledge and skills with me. I'm also an active storyteller, inspired by my father and his sisters. My artwork incorporates stories of Irish culture (my husband's family), Mexican culture (my own) and the stories of my childhood. To pass the traditions of crochet and knitting on, I run an Art & Knitting Club after school at Von Steuben where I teach. I'm pleased to say that I've more kids coming to this club than I ever had when it was just an Art Club. I hope that answers your question. Simply put, my art stems from the folk traditions of my culture.

Thank you for your kind comment concerning my work. My art objects are not strictly speaking inspired from folk arts traditions, but yes from old traditional method of keeping personal and affective correspondence.
Best regards
