Hey John... Really? That's cool man. Yea, a lot of my paintings are inspired by many of the Brooklyn blocks that I grew up around. There was one that I did specifically with Fort Greene park as the backdrop.
Over the past two years, Ka-Son has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. His work is included in permanent gallery collections as well as private collections. His painting “Jazz In Space” won 1st place in painting at the 2010 Antoine Dutot Museum’s “Music Motif” Show. “Brothers,” a 2-person portrait, won an honorable mention at the 2010 Pocono Arts Council Members Show. His painting “Block Party” was included in “We’ve Gotta Have It!: Art Inspired by Spike Lee,” a juried exhibition honoring filmmaker Spike Lee in Brooklyn, NY.
He is also author of a collection of poetic verse entitled “A Poet-Whore, Pimped By Pain”.
