I am a contemporary mixed-media artist who works from my studio in Lamy, New Mexico, on the edge of the Galisteo Basin. I am interested in printmaking, painting, photograph, and encaustic and often combine these mediums. Usually my work is a collage of a variety of materials. Monotypes, monoprints, photos, drawing and transfers are collaged onto paper or panel and then paint or encaustic may be added.
A former graphic designer, I took up printmaking and painting in 1987. I studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute from 1995 to 1997, and printmaking through many workshops both locally and abroad, including a month long printmaking workshop at Santa Reparata Studios in Florence, Italy in 1998, and a variety of workshops at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California. In Santa Fe, I have taken workshops from Dan Weldon in solar plate making, Ron Pokrasso in collage/printmaking, and Judy Just in Akua water base printmaking. I am a juried member of the California Society of Printmakers, The Los Angeles Printmakers, The Boston Printmakers, and Encasutic Art Institute. My work has been included in many regional and national juried exhibits and can be seen by appointment at my Lamy, New Mexico studio.
