- Creating, teaching and producing since the 1970's in Canada, and internationally, especially SouthEast Asia and now Europe. Known for bold large scale projects and intimate solo and ensemble creations, and themes that reflect her humanistic vision. Her company, Across Oceans specializes in projects and platforms that investigate and advance collaborative art-making.
- Art Forms And Cultures I Would Like To Engage With
- "Lately I’m thinking that : All human communication begins in our bodies with pure movement, sound and image. Art filters these forms through our human intellect to express experiences of spirit, sensation and idea. So all of my work - my choreography, words on pages, images on walls, sounds in air - is fundamentally physical expression. " Any collaboration that responds to this will, by its very nature, be interesting.

- Always: Elsie Salomons, my life-long mentor, and Mary Wigman,, her teacher. Today's favorites...Fluxus group for their audacity, Guismiati Suid for her clear passion made choreographically feel'able, Pina Bausch for her simply huge ideas made moving visual, Michelangelo and his contemporaries for their extraordinary understanding of colour as the indicators for form and feeling, Techung, Tran Qua Hai, the Eagles, and shower-singers for the essential human voice...enough for today....

- I moved to Jakarta from Bangkok in 2000, started writing for arts, especially the dance and theatre, during my working years there also while doing my phd. There I was introduced to Gumarang Sakti, Gusmiati, Boi, her son and went to see her on her death bed, went to her funeral also. Help boi with the documentary of his work "Di Jalan Tua". Like to try and work with Boi's ex-wife, Hartati. Me too is fond with the dance life of Mari Wigman. Come to think of it, I know I have read one of your books.
