About Me And My Work

In my work techniques as well as materials and size differ a lot. The choice of material arises from experiments following an idea. The materials and techniques have to fit in with the different elements in the image through wich the meaning of the work is strengthened. My work includes installations, projections, video, photography, drawings/images in crayon, charcoal and paint.

Amazed about the influance of mankind on nature/his nature I began recording digitaly these interferences in the landscape. This constantly evolving archive became a startingpoint for my work. Sometimes this mounts to an unexpected appreciation like ‘Dirt dancing on water in rapids’ from 2008. More often it leads to a work in which I try to bring the disrupted landscape to a new balance through various experiments with materials. Next to this involvement with nature I also feel connected with mankind. The diversity and their different situations (‘In ideas’, 2008). Some works are about my emigration to Belgium and living in a country with multiple languages and cultures.
