Old parts with a new meaning

"You are so right, Wayne. Most people don't realize that you don't just find some materials in the street and throw it together and make art. It takes a lot of imagination and work to assemble a piece that has impact and meaning."

This "Garbage Can" is lined with plastic bottles, jugs, containers and jars found on the streets of my hometown. All the recycling bins are my art supply stores, where the materials are free!

I just finished a great show this weekend, Recycle Santa Fe, fifty five artists using recycle materials in so very many ways. most of the artists there recorded good sales with much encouragement for the originality of our work. It is exciting for me to see the wave of interest for this type of work growing, even as I am surfing the wave. Soon I will try to post new images on my website, www.mitchbergart.com, but already i am busy getting ready for two more end of year shows. see you next year and thank you everyone for your encouragement and enjoy the thoughts that dance in your head

Peter thanks for the invite. Good timing, i'm getting ready for my next art show in my hometown,Santa Fe, and it is a Recycle Art Show (recyclesantefe.org). I just finished a show in Northport Alabama that was very favorable to my work and I continue to search for shows that are heavy on the funky, recycled side of things. I have a website (mitchbergart.com) and will be posting my new work in the next few weeks. thanks again, mitch berg
