Artistic Experiences I Have Had On My Travels

All of my travels involve art in some way, usually photographing backgrounds and textures to use in graphic digital art, but sometimes collecting scraps, found objects, and bits of ephemera to use in paintings and assemblages.

Art Forms And Cultures I Would Like To Engage With

I am intrigued by art that is transitory. I'd like to be involved in creating an environmental installation that incorporates organic elements: fire, steam, water, ice, rocks, dirt, plants; and sound: wind through pipes, things melting/falling; colors: leaves or flowers whose beauty is momentary, changing colors, fading as the art piece progresses through time, each element becoming a new dynamic in the construction as time works it's magic. Yes, that is what I would like to do.

My Creative Influences & Favorite Artists

Too many. My work is influenced by the music I listen to, which changes. Right now I am listening to Gogol Bordello, System of a Down, Salif Keita and Cumbia. Visual artists I am currently looking at include Dorothea Tanning, 19th century taxidermy and Ernst Haekel.
