About Me And My Work
Audrey Elizabeth( sometimes know as Aryana) indo-iranian, mediteranean dance and music,frame drum, costume design, concert production,theatre direction.
have a degree from Bennington College. I have performed with and studied percussion under Naser Khorisani, Alessandra Belloni,Faruk,Adnan Sarhan. Studied percussion with Milford Graves , Bob Moses and Glen Velez.
IN Washington DC, I have danced at Kennedy Center, National Theatre, Library of Congress , Smithsonian Folk Life Fest, Dance Dc fest , and ArtO Matic.
During my 12 years in New Orleans, I directed dance/ music ensembles Tariq and Ishq, working with Zietgiest theatre , Dog and Pony Theatre, and Madam Palmettos, and 3 major universities.
Places I Would Like To Visit
I have danced at the Kennedy Center, Smithsonian, and National theatre in Washington DC. Also have performed and studied in Uzbekistan; taught in Barcelona,and across the southern U.S.; studied in India and London. I have also performed from L.A. to to Santa Fe to New Orleans to Atlanta to New York.
Now a new chapter opens with performance workshops across Asia and Europe as well as North America.
