I just spent a couple of weeks ago visiting my In-law's in ft. Myers, Florida.  They retired there a little over a year ago permanently and are enjoying life.  Being from Cleveland we'll get the usual conversations over the phone with keeping up with them being told that it's in the 80's and us having to unfortunately disclose that we just shovelled a foot of snow off of the drive.  My Wife misses her folks and I do too for that matter as well as our children but the big debate is "when"or "if" we make that life style change.  I am not a fan of Winter here in the North East and never had been.  The older I get the more I dislike so we've been giving it some thought of late

I write only because that during our vacation it included a short stop off in the port of Key West.  Our first ever cruise and I'll tell you it was a needed rest.  While on the Key we stopped off at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and of course had a number of those along with the "Cheese Burger in Paradise" from the menu.  It was so much fun and our time was running up on the meter so I proceeded back to add change and return.

While doing so I stopped at a local gallery of Mike Darras ironically called The Naked Artist Gallery.  He and his wife  moved down to Florida from Tennessee years back and I related so much to this guys story.  He and I both late career changing Artist's and not fond of snow.  In fact, I laughed when Mike told me that one of the requirements was to be as far down South to never ever again see a sign that reads "BRIDGE FREEZES BEFORE ROAD SURFACE."    He was great to talk to and if you have a moment take a look at His art by visiting his site if you have a chance.  It was so nice to hear from someone my age that has actually made that change in his or her life and has me thinking, Hmmmmmmm?

On the way back to the Buffet restaurant I came into meet a street musician named John w/Romeo.  Romeo's the one sporting the cool glasses and my Son noah to the left as thought it made a great shot .    Same story again in that he lived up North and came to Key West with a girlfrind years ago.  He set up playing and made himself about $150 to $200 dollars and thought to himself, "Hell I can do this."  Not that everyone wants to stand on a corner like that but if you want to do something different nothing's impossible.
