The law looms over all people of color because it requires CITIZENS to carry papers that prove their legal status in case they are stopped. And they are. Our sheriff, who has been threatening peoples' civil rights prior to this, was conducting sweeps in which half the people who were arrested were actually U.S. citizens.
It is unAmerican to be considered dangerous until proven innocent simply because of the way you look, yet that is what these actions and laws imply and impose.
I have hope SB1070 will be stayed before it is slated to go into effect in July.
Like all things, however, there is some value: SB1070 may yet force movement on the issue of immigration in this country. That needs to happen, too.
It's such early days, I can't really talk too much about them. When they progress, I'll keep you posted. The film world is notoriously difficult to be certain of anything, and it can take any length of time to get movies going, but there is a great possibility of one of my two, being in production by Sept 2010....but there's also a possibility that it wont! I've just been through my first development meeting, and have a ton of work to do on the script...then...by the end of January, it goes into the 2nd stage. At the moment, it's all good.

Thank you for your interest! Ravenna is called "the capital of mosaics". There are many examples of mosaic art there in churches and on the floors of buildings. There is also a school which I will attend when my ship comes in. Right now I don't even have a ship.
