this is the forum I started in CreateCulture.org I have encouraged them to get in touch with you regarding the show as well as the possibility of a feature article (The cu-founder, John Rouse, lives in Brooklyn)
"Disabled people are a big part of our society and I think disabled artists have a big influence on our culture as a whole. Different countries have different ways of dealing with disability and art/artists, and I'd like to encourage discussion on how this issue is dealt with in other countries, as well as my own."
John, send your email address again, am having trouble sending you mail!
don't know if you got my recent email _ how are Amy and John Jr?
I'm back! I'm sorry i stopped participating for awhile. Felt somewhat intiimidated and
not a true "culturalista" because I don't really travel and honestly don't know much about art - just what appeals to me `! my new "resolve" is to involved again and primarily to listen..Still am involved in"art and it's positive impact on phsical and mental" and reently did a show for a cable TV station. Should eventually be on youtube. I'll let you know. Probably will post another discussion once i figure out how. memory is definitel not my strongpoint. Say hi to Nico
The Walking Tours sound super cool John! Unfortunately, I will be out of town for most of them in Canada. :-(
btw- We're doing a preview Informal performance with the full cast of Chameleon in Sunset Park, Brooklyn on the evening of the 29th. If you're free, I'll send you the details. :-)

thanks for checking in with me. I have responded to some open calls for shows, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. Cross your fingers that I can tell you to check at my work at one of the shows soon! But I was thinking the other day that I should post some of my newer work on my page. Happy Groundhog Day, let's hope the critter sees his shadow I think I've had enough of this weather.
Yes, we'll be showing a short excerpt during Cool NY 2011 on Feb. 3rd and Feb. 5th (Program E) at 7 pm. http://www.whitewavedance.com All performances are free to attend during the festival.
Thanks for your interest in Gikuyu community in Kenya. There are many publications on the community and you can get more information from them. But I highly recommend the following: Muriuki, G., 1974, A History of the Gikuyu 1500 - 1900, Oxford University Press, London, U. K. and Mirara, F. Karanja, 2001, Gikuyu Homestead; A guide to Gikuyu Cultur, Vantage Printers, Nairobi, Kenya. Perhaps contact with Greenbelt Movement Office and National Museums of Kenya would give you further information about the site. Visits to the site can also be arranged. Plans were there to develop a Gikuyu museum at the site and a cultural training centre. I am sure this will set the basis for further discussion on the site. Ni Wega Muno!! translated It is okay!!

Cute picture of your baby wearing the "Create Culture" onesie!
btw- A.H. Dance Co. will be showcasing an excerpt of Chameleon this weekend for APAP at Dance New Amsterdam. Check it out if you are available: http://www.dnadance.org/site/performances/apap-2011/
Happy 2011 John,
May your creativity overflow all boundries and borders and you have more fun than you've ever had. Thanks for Create Culture!
Hi John,
I'm guessing you must be son or ? of Don Rouse. I may have met you at his house in Arlington some years ago? Hi Don ( I guess visiting?)
