A California Story, Coming To A State Park Near You
:::: Between Aug and Sept 2009, folk musician The Elk traveled to over 50 California State Parks from Crescent City to the Salton Sea, to document the solace and beauty of California's open spaces.
This part activism/part documentary/part expedition supports Folk4Parks.org: an online cause The Elk started to raise popular awareness to recent budget cuts to California State Parks through music, film and images.
The Elk is currently a full time musician and artist, and part of the Basecamp modern folk music collective.
