Dr Jaynie Aydin shares a view of a Zeybek Dance

Dances of Turkey Volume 2- A Zeybek Wedding is scheduled for public release in 2011. This visual dance ethnography will feature some of the best traditional Zeybek dance and davul zurna music as it is performed in the modern celebratory social context in Aydin, Turkey. This film is being made by Dr. Jaynie Aydin in partnership with EGE University folklorist Abdurrahim Karademir, Dr. Emir Cenk Aydin, the Mehmet Sarı family and the people of Dampınar Köyü. This clip features the talents of musicians from Germencik and the Dance of Selim özyol.
